The West Vancouver Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in several break-ins at seasonal cabins located on Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver.

On July 10, 2022, West Vancouver Police received a report of a break-and-enter at a cabin. A local resident saw the man inside the cabin and took a photo. On November 28, 2022, West Vancouver Police received a report of a break and enter in another cabin on Hollyburn Ridge. The person was caught on CCTV cameras located inside the cabin. These two reports are among 16 reported break-ins into the cabins.

The man is described as Caucasian male, slim build, approximately 150 lbs, approximately 30 years old, wearing dark jacket and pants, a white trucker hat, scraggly brown hair, and heavy-duty winter snow boots.

“This is concerning for the community that enjoys the cabins at Hollyburn Ridge” Says Cst. Nicole Braithwaite. “We want to make sure that people feel safe going to and spending time at their cabins.”

The West Vancouver Police are seeking assistance in identifying this individual. If you have any information that might lead us to him, please contact the West Vancouver Police non-emergency number and reference file # 22-14159.
