Christopher Fehr is new executive director of Squamish Chamber of Commerce

The Squamish Chamber of Commerce has announced that Christopher Fehr will be joining as the new Executive Director, effective March 6. Passionate about the community, Christopher Fehr is a business leader with over 15 years of experience. Fehr started off in  hospitality and tourism and gained strengths in business management, destination growth management.

As a new Father, Chris is dedicated to contributing to the Squamish community knowing that his children will grow up in this amazing town we call home.

“We are pleased to announce that Chris Fehr will be joining the Squamish Chamber of Commerce as the new Executive Director. Over the last couple of years, Chris has been deeply involved in developing community partnerships as well as advancing engagement and business advocacy. His advocacy experience, collaborative approach, and strategic thinking will ensure that the Squamish Chamber of Commerce will continue to advance its mission of being the voice of local businesses,” said Abby Majendie, Board President of the Squamish Chamber.

In a press release, the chamber said Fehr is a strong leader with a proven history of enriching the quality of life for the local community. As the incoming Executive Director, Chris will continue to nurture the Squamish business community and actively support sustainability, economic growth, and diversification.

“On behalf of the board, we want to thank our members for their support and understanding as the Board sought an Executive Director who will continue to underpin the needs of the business community and develop the Squamish Chamber of Commerce in the coming years” said Majendie.

The Squamish Chamber team and board will continue to focus on core programs and events over the coming months while working with the newly appointed ED to deliver their signature events and affordable workshops and training.
