Applications open for Neighbourhood Small Grants program in Squamish

staff report
March 17, 2023 3:03am

The Squamish Community Foundation has a Neighbourhood Small Grants program and the application for 2023 is now open. Those interested can apply by April 11.

The Neighbourhood Small Grants (NSG) program provides up to $500 to community projects that aim to connect people socially or involve sharing skills or talents with each other.  NSG is focused on funding informal groups or individuals, as opposed to organizations or businesses. From neighbourhood block parties to community gardens and cultural events, there are many ways we can build a thriving community.

Who qualifies?

This Neighbourhood Small Grants program is open to groups or individuals (of any age), who are not currently a registered charity. The foundation gives grants from $50 to $500 to support projects that bring people together, share skills and knowledge, build a sense of belonging and responsibility, and respect and celebrate diversity. If you have a great idea to bring people together in your neighbourhood, please apply for a grant and bring your idea to life.
