A man who stole candy from a local store had his car impounded after he did poorly on field sobriety tests.

Police said they responded to the incident on May 12 after receiving report of two men stealing candy from a local store. They were also seen acting ‘strange’ and rifling through a car that had a broken window before they left the area.

Officers located the car and saw the driver weaving in and out of the driving lane. The driver provided a breath sample that showed he had no liquor in his system. However, he peformed poorly on field sobriety tests. As a result, police issued a driving prohibition and impounded his car.

Drunk woman issued 90-day prohibition

On May 14, just before 11 pm, an officer on proactive patrol  saw a woman stagger in and out of a liquor store after parking her car. She failed breath tests administered by the officer, and was issued a 90-day driving prohibition. Her car was also impounded for 30 days.
