The Downtown Squamish Business Improvement Association has announced a new and improved route for the Squamish holiday parade.

The Downtown Squamish Holiday Parade is back on December 2. “Dust off the floats, and at dusk watch as the streets come to life with the magic of the family-friendly Parade,” the local BIA said in a press release.

“Calling on all community members! It’s not too late to be a part of the festivities – sign up for a float until Friday, November 24. Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Yule, Kwanzaa, or just your fabulous self, join us on December 2 for a lively, inclusive, and joyous parade in Downtown Squamish.”

The procession will begin from the Log Sort at 39540 Galbraith Ave (end of Loggers Lane by Yacht Club), taking Vancouver Street, make a right turn onto Cleveland Avenue (passing Howe Sound Brew Pub on the left), and continue north along Cleveland Avenue to Pemberton Avenue.

“We are thrilled to announce that Santa and Mrs. Claus will be gracing the parade on the newly designed sleigh, generously crafted by the Squamish Men’s Shed last year,” shared Kerry Neil, BIA Executive Director. “A heartfelt thank you goes to our Sponsors and Supporters – the District of Squamish, Woodfibre LNG, Alta Lake Electrical, Race & Co. and Miller Capilano. Their generous support makes this event all the more magical.”
