Chris Fehr steps down as Squamish Chamber executive director

The Squamish Chamber of Commerce recently announced the resignation of Chris Fehr from his position as Executive Director.

Chris has been with the organization since March 2023 and has played a pivotal role in cultivating partnerships, advocating for the Sea to Sky Corridor business community, and spearheading new revenue streams, the Chamber said in a press release.

During his nine-month tenure, Chris has made significant contributions to the organization, which the Squamish Chamber Board of Directors has acknowledged with heartfelt gratitude. Under his leadership, the Chamber strengthened its operations and fostered an exceptional team, the Chamber added. His last day with the Squamish Chamber is April 18, 2024, and the Board has wished him success in his future endeavours.

As the organization undergoes a period of change, the Board is committed to ensuring a smooth transition. Plans are underway to identify a suitable successor to build on the Chamber’s success and momentum. The Board has promised to share further details about the job search shortly, reflecting its dedication to a transparent and thorough process. In the interim, the Board and the existing team are focused on maintaining the Chamber’s stability and effectiveness.

Members can expect uninterrupted service delivery and program continuation during this transition. The organization expresses confidence in its team’s capabilities and the board’s support for a seamless handover. The Squamish Chamber of Commerce has expressed good wishes for Chris Fehr’s future endeavours and acknowledges that staff, members, and partners will miss his presence.
