100 Women Who Care Squamish have launched an Endowment Fund with the Squamish Community Foundation. This marks a significant milestone for 100 Women Who Care Squamish, who aim to create a perpetual source of funding in the community for non-profits and local charities.

The nature of the fund guarantees a timeless impact, ensuring ongoing support for community causes and the opportunity for local women donors to create a lasting legacy.

“SCF is very excited to partner with 100 Women Who Care as they launch their Endowment Fund here in Squamish. They reflect our shared commitment to the well-being of our community and also play an important role in supporting local organizations,” said Karen Clarke, Executive Director of Squamish Community Foundation.

An endowment fund will allow 100 Women Who Care Squamish freedom from investment responsibility and give donors confidence, knowing that a permanent foundation is in place to administer their donations professionally. 100 Women Who Care members can then concentrate on which non-profit they want to support each year.

“Creating a 100 Women Who Care Squamish endowment fund with the Squamish Community Foundation means our chapter’s donations will benefit our community more than ever. The interest accrued from our fund will help our local not-for-profits continue to do the incredible work they do for Squamish perpetually, creating a lasting legacy for current and future residents,” says Catherine Trueman, the founder of 100 Women Who Care Squamish.

100 Women Who Care Squamish is a volunteer group of women from the Squamish area who meet once per quarter to hear from three local charities about their current projects and then vote for which charity has the greatest financial need. The charity with the most votes receives a $100 donation from each member to further their initiatives. 100 Women x 100 Dollars = $10,000, a huge impact on the community.

South Okanagan/Similkameen, Kawartha Lakes and Red Deer Community Foundations are just a few foundations that successfully administer gift-giving for their local 100 Women/Men Who Care chapters.
