The Province of British Columbia has issued a Work Advisory for the Porteau Cove Rail Crossing, which will be replaced overnight between February 12 and 13.

There will be no public vehicle or pedestrian access in or out of Porteau Cove Park between 8 pm on February 12 and 8 am on February 13.

BC Parks’ Reservation Services team will contact all affected camping parties. There may be noise disruptions overnight as a result of this work. For those that choose to camp overnight in the campground, please ensure you’re back in the park on February 12th before 8 pm. In the event of an emergency overnight, Call 9-1-1.

Call the on-site CN Site Contact, Tyler Ward, at (236) 331-5930 in an emergency. CN will create a temporary rail crossing if emergency vehicles require park access.

Should you have questions regarding this work, please get in touch with the appropriate agency below: CN Police 24hr Line: 1-800-465-9239 CN Public Inquiries Line: 1-888-888-5909 or contact@cn.ca, and BC Parks: 1-800-689-9025 or parkinfo@gov.bc.ca
