RDC Fine Homes, a well-known custom home builder and renovator, has leased the space formerly occupied by Republic Bicycles in Brackendale. The company’s owner, Bob Deeks, said the new office would serve as the company’s Squamish office and showroom for its construction industry partners.
“We are very excited to finally have a Squamish office and to open a showroom and presentation center. We will be open this September,” he said.

Euroline Windows and Doors, Panasonic HVAC, Living Edge Design, Canadian Counter Tops, James Hadie siding, Red Alder Electric, Owens Corning, and Trail Appliances are the companies that will showcase their products at the office on 41340 Government Road.
Deeks said the office building will be reconstructed as a Net Zero office with new exterior insulation and an interior outfitted with new furnishings. The decision to open an office in Squamish was made because most of RDC’s project management team resides in the community. The new office will provide a closer location for local workers.
It will also offer RDC Homes a better presence in Squamish and more meeting space for presentations. The company is planning a seminar on April 5 featuring an integrated design process and the space will be used to hold similar events and presentations in the future, Deeks said.
The company took possession of the new office last Friday and is applying for a building permit to make the necessary improvements. It expects to occupy the new office at the beginning of September. Mayor Armand Hurford ran the Republic Biclcyes for 16 years before shutting down the store in 2022. He faced legal challenges over non-payment of invoices and was issued a notice of warrant of arrest in a small claims court, which was later cancelled.
