The District of Squamish is advancing to Stage 4 of the Garibaldi Estates Neighbourhood Planning Process, and will host community workshops to present and discuss the draft Garibaldi Estates Neighbourhood Plan.
The first workshop will occur on June 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Saint John The Divine Church, located at 1930 Diamond Road. This session will focus on Area 2, the Diamond Head Area.
Each workshop will feature:
- Updates on the draft plan with opportunities for questions.
- In-depth discussions specific to the featured neighbourhood area.
- Collaborative sessions for residents to share ideas on the plan’s policies.
- Discussions on potential actions to address both short-term and long-term challenges.
The following workshops are scheduled for:
- Area 3: Estates Centre – June 19, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Area 4: Estates North and East – June 26, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Area 1: Commercial area – Date to be confirmed.
Residents interested in attending must register in advance. Preference will be given to residents of the specific subarea featured in each workshop. Residents are encouraged to visit the District of Squamish website for more information and to register.
