Matthews West Developments invites the Squamish community to the Grand Opening of Sp’akw’us Feather Park on Saturday, August 17.

After a sneak peek in late May, Oceanfront Squamish is rolling out the red carpet for the Squamish Arts Festival‘s grand finale—the Sp’akw’us Feather Shakedown. For three years, the event has brought thousands of people to the Squamish Oceanfront. Oceanfront Squamish is increasing this year’s excitement by hosting the event in the newly completed Sp’akw’us Feather Park.

“We have been looking forward to this year’s Squamish Arts Festival. It will be a kaleidoscope of talent, creativity, and community spirit. We can’t wait to see everyone come together to celebrate, support the arts, and join us at the oceanfront,” says John Matthews, President of Matthews West Developments.

The festivities kick off with a Canoe Protocol at 2 pm on the main beach, setting the stage for an afternoon of live music starting at 4 pm. Parking is limited, and guests can pedal over and enjoy complimentary bike parking. The day will be packed with a selection of food trucks and refreshing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

“Get ready to feast and sip your way through the day, and don’t miss out on this unforgettable day.”
