Squamish RCMP arrest two after weapons incident on Government Road

One person was taken to hospital after an incident involving firearms on Government Road in Squamish. In a press release, Squamish RCMP said two suspects are in custody, and one person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on Sunday.

On September 15, 2024, at 2:27 p.m., the Squamish RCMP responded to a weapons-related incident near Government Road and Garibaldi Way. Both suspects remain in custody, and the investigation is ongoing. This was an isolated incident, and there was no active or ongoing threat to the public, said Staff Sergeant Kris Clark of the BC RCMP.
