Squamish residents can now recycle packaging and paper at the new depot, now open to the public. It is located at 40446 Government Road, the former bus depot.

Squamish DOX recycling depot will accept flexible plastics, foam packaging and glass bottles and jars. The Squamish DOX Recycling Depot is open seven days a week from 9 am to 4:30 pm.  The new Squamish DOX Recycling Depot opened on September 26 as part of Recycle BC’s province-wide residential packaging and paper recycling program.

“This new recycling facility offers residents of Squamish and the surrounding areas a convenient and efficient way to recycle packaging and paper, including flexible plastics, foam packaging, and glass bottles and jars – materials not accepted in curbside carts,” Recycle BC said in a press release.

Paper and cardboard, and containers (plastic, metal and cartons) are also accepted at the new location. This new depot joins Recycle BC’s network of more than 200 depot locations across BC where residents can drop off residential packaging and paper free of charge.

Recycle BC has thanked Squamish residents for their commitment to recycling and patience while the Squamish DOX Recycling Depot was preparing to open.
