Police advisory: Expect significant traffic delays near Lions Gate Bridge

Taylor Swift
staff report
December 6, 2024 11:47am

West Vancouver police advise drivers to brace for significant traffic delays near the Lions Gate Bridge this weekend, particularly at the Taylor Way and Marine Drive intersection.

The congestion is expected to peak between December 6 and 8, as several major sporting and concert events, including the Taylor Swift concert, draw large crowds to the area. Police are urging drivers to avoid the intersection, use alternate routes where possible, and consider public transit to reduce strain on the busy corridor.

Drivers are also reminded to keep intersections clear to maintain traffic flow. “We’re asking for patience and cooperation from the public as we work to manage this high-traffic period,” police said.
