Squamish RCMP commends a resident for their honesty after he returned a lost wallet found in the area last month.

The wallet was discovered on March 29 and promptly handed over to the detachment by Christopher Thomas.  Police contacted the owner, who was grateful to have their belongings returned and offered a reward to the Good Samaritan.

“We always encourage people to do the right thing, and it’s great to see this act of integrity recognized,” said Const. Kelly Wu. “This is a great example of our strong sense of community here in Squamish.”

Police remind the public that any found property can be turned in at the local detachment, where efforts will be made to return items to their rightful owners. For inquiries about lost or found items, Sea to Sky RCMP–Squamish can be reached at 604-892-6100.
