Casino Jump Park, the volunteer‑built dirt‑jump and paved pump‑track complex on Centennial Way, will stage its inaugural Official FMB Bronze Competition this Saturday, July 26, marking a milestone for the community‑run facility.
The park’s evolution spans more than 20 years of grassroots advocacy led by Squamish freeride pioneer Ted Tempany and his Dream Wizards trail-building crew. Gates open at 10 a.m.; spectators are welcome.
Working with builder Ron Goldstone and input from Tempany’s son, professional rider Jackson Goldstone, volunteers shaped a legal, progressive jump park at no cost to local taxpayers. Steve Vroom donated materials, and funding for the asphalt pump‑track came from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation.
The District of Squamish leases the land to the non‑profit Dirt Wizards Dirt Jump Association, which now manages and maintains the site.
Saturday’s event will feature a full day of competition and demonstrations, giving Squamish riders a chance to compete on jumps they helped create. Sponsors include Crankworx, GFL Environmental, RideHub, Dream Wizards, the Dirt Wizards Dirt Jump Association and Canadian Outdoor Medical Consulting.
