A new childcare centre has opened in Squamish, offering early learning programs for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Willowbrae Academy’s latest location is at Unit 109, 38147 Laurelwood Road.
Owner Geoffrey Stollery has appointed Mahsa Hedayatzadeh as Academy Director. Hedayatzadeh said she aims to build “a community of growth, curiosity, and connection,” and believes strong relationships form the foundation of a child’s development.
The Squamish facility provides secure online live-streams for parents, state-of-the-art access control, and meals prepared by an on-site chef. It also offers exclusive Willowbrae programs, including KIDFIT, Creative Kids, and Young Scholars, as well as the Braeview system, which gives parents individualized updates, daily logs, and photos.

“Our team is dedicated to providing a wonderful home away from home for the children. A special place where children come to grow,” the owners said in a statement.
Willowbrae Academy’s curriculum includes the Learning Tree educational approach, which blends Emergent, High Scope, and Montessori methods, along with daily indoor and outdoor play. The centre currently serves children from four months to preschool, with afterschool programs and summer camps available at other locations for children up to age 12.
Shawn Pattison, CEO of Willowbrae Academy, said the company continues to expand its national presence. “Quality childcare is a priority for families, and every day we strive to provide a superior experience for our students, families, and Early Childhood Educators,” Pattison said.
The Squamish Academy will hold its grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Willowbrae Academy is a member of the Canadian Franchise Association and now operates 12 locations across British Columbia.
