Rock slide blocks northbound Highway 99 near Squamish

A rock slide has blocked the northbound lane of Highway 99 about 8 kilometres north of Squamish, according to an advisory issued by DriveBC. 

The slide occurred between Alice Lake Road and Daisy Lake Road in the early hours of October 14, 2025. Northbound vehicles are being routed into the southbound lane under traffic control, creating expected delays for both directions. 

DriveBC advised motorists to take precautions and to consider alternate routes when available.

No injuries were reported in the advisory, and no additional details about the cause of the slide have been released yet.
