Drivers traveling through Whistler should expect a short closure on Highway 99 on Wednesday, Nov. 12, as municipal crews carry out rock-stabilization work on a roadside slope, according to a news release by BC Gov.

The closure, which will take place between Alta Lake Road and Taylor Way, is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and last for about 30 minutes. Traffic will be temporarily rerouted via Alta Lake Road, Rainbow Drive, and Alpine Way, the municipality said.

According to the notice, traffic-control personnel will be on site to guide drivers through detours and ensure safety. Motorists should plan for minor delays and are encouraged to check DriveBC for the latest updates before traveling.
