The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) has confirmed that the television series Fire Country will continue filming at Minaty Bay (27154 Sea to Sky Highway, Area D) on various dates between Nov. 20 and Dec. 10, 2025. According to an SLRD filming notice issued Nov. 20, production activity will include special-effects fire, atmospheric smoke, stunts, and simulated pyrotechnics on site. The production also plans to use an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) for several scenes.
Filming will take place entirely on private property, the notice states. Overnight shoots are scheduled for Nov. 25 and Dec. 1–3 from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. A reduced crew will remain at the location between Dec. 4 and 10, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. daily, for post-production clean-up.
In a Nov. 13 notice, the production said a member of the fire department will be present during filming and that security staff will monitor equipment and sets throughout. The crew thanked the community for its cooperation and said it would work to minimize disruption to daily routines.
Residents with questions can contact Production Manager Scott Walden at 604-453-4800. While filming is underway, Assistant Location Manager Lucas Chenell will be available on site at 1-418-997-5204.
