Now, hear the district story in 140 characters or less.

The District of Squamish has launched a Twitter account to ‘further engage with the community’ through this important two-way channel.

The District can be followed @Squamishtown.

“Extending our social media reach onto Twitter provides another important opportunity for us to communicate,” said District of Squamish Mayor Rob Kirkham.

He said expanding into Twitter was a logical next step for the District, and is part of the ongoing evolution of its communications tools – both online and traditional.
