Chamber Annouces Nominees for Business Excellence Awards

The Squamish Chamber of Commerce has announce the nominees for Business Excellence and Citizen of the Year –newly renamed the “Bill Manson Award” in recognition of the late Squamish Chamber Senator Bill Manson. 

In a press release issued last week, Chamber spokesperson Grace MacLeod said Manson worked tirelessly for the betterment of the community of Squamish and the chamber is happy to honour him by renaming this award.   

The Nominees for the Bill Manson Award (Citizen of the Year) are

Owen Carney, Carney’s Waste Systems

Bob Fast, Cardinal Concrete Ltd. – Coast Aggregates Ltd.  -Edgewater Projects Ltd. – Fast Property Ltd.

The Nominees for Business of the Year are

Executive Suites Hotel and Resort

Camp Summit

Van der Ree Law

CrossFit Squamish

Newport Auto Inc

Scotties Liquor Store and Hotel. 

This business award is sponsored by the North Shore Credit Union.

The Nominees for Non-Profit of the Year are

Tourism Squamish

Howe Sound Women’s Centre Society

Sea to Sky Community Services Society.
