On Wed, Feb. 12, Squamish RCMP’s General Investigation Section arrested a 23-year-old man from Gambier Place.
Robert Cory Kerr was arrested in connection to an investigation into a break-in into storage lockers at a local apartment complex on Jan. 17. He is well-known to the police.
On Thurs., Feb. 13, police arrested another 26-year-old man, Tavis Maurice Lacroix, from Government Road. He was also well-known to the police.
Police recovered several stolen items such as two mountain bikes, valued at approx. $1700 and $2000, which were returned to their rightful owners.
Several Car Thefts Reported
On Tuesday, Feb. 11, police received a report of a car having been broken into over night while parked on Minaty Lane in Britannia Beach. A spare set of keys for the vehicle, a Escort radar detector, miscellaneous tools, personal pictures, and various Harley Davidson memorabilia, including a Harley Davidson jacket, were taken in the theft. The vehicle had been left unlocked. No damage was done to the vehicle.
On Friday, Feb 14, police received yet another report of a theft from a vehicle, this time on Skyline Dr. The vehicle had been left unlocked, and sometime between 3 – 4:00 am a Garmin GPS was stolen from the vehicle.
On Sunday, Feb. 16, police received a report of a theft from a vehicle parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot during the day. Thieves took away an HP laptop, a Canon digital camera and some personal documents.
On Tuesday, Feb. 4, police received a report of three to four cubic meters of logs stolen from a forestry yard on Galbraith Rd. The logs were stolen over the course of two nights.
Theft from Vehicle
On Wed, Feb. 5, a vehicle broken into while parked on the street near Government Rd. and Aspen Rd. The vehicle had been left insecure and a Garmin GPS, valued at approx. $150 was stolen. The theft was believed to have occurred sometime around Jan. 23rd.
Assault
On Thursday, Feb. 6, at 2 a.m., police were called to a Third Ave residence where an assault had been reported. At scene police spoke to 59 year old Squamish resident who advised that she had been assaulted by a another woman, known to her, at her home. A 53 year old Squamish woman was later arrested at her residence and is being charged with the assault.

On Friday, Feb. 7, at approx. 11:30 p.m., police attended to a bar in the 3800 block of Third Ave in response to a report of an assault that had occurred. A 36-year-old Pemberton resident was arrested for assaulting and threatening her 30-year-old-ex-boyfriend during an argument.

Theft from Boat
On Sunday, Feb. 9, police received a report of a boat being broken into while moored at the Squamish Yacht Club, sometime between Feb. 8th at 6:30 pm and 3:00 pm on the 9th. A Dell laptop, binoculars and misc. tools were stolen, but no damage was done to the boat.

Mischief
On Sunday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m., police received a report of someone throwing a rock into the window of a business on Magee St. Employees had been present at the time and when they had looked to see who had thrown it, they had seen no one nearby. Police patrols of the area failed to locate any suspicious individuals.
