Library to Open Extra Five Hours Starting June 1

May 25, 2015 4:10pm

The Squamish Public Library will soon be open five more hours a week to serve the community.  Beginning June 1, the library will open at 11 am on Monday to Thursday and close at 8 pm.

Library director Hilary Bloom said the Friday hours are 10 am to 5 pm. Saturday and Sunday hours will remain 10 am to 4 pm.

“We are thrilled to extend our hours and be even more available to the community, seven days a week. We know how important morning open hours are to our patrons, and we are proud to have achieved this, while still remaining open in the evenings until 8 pm, four days a week, Bloom said.

She said a later closing time at 5 pm on Fridays will better serve patrons who are stocking up on materials for the weekend.

“We hope to see lots of people here at 11 am on Monday, June 1 when we open at our new, earlier time,” she added.
