Squamish Valley Music Festival to Hold Job Fair on July 14

July 9, 2015 11:17am

The  Virgin Mobile Presents Squamish Valley Music Festival will be searching for qualified candidates to fill a number of important paid employment positions for the second annual Job Fair on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Squamish Adventure Centre.

There are several positions available in a variety of different departments including site operations, green team, skilled construction, crowd management, transportation and food & beverage services. Positions are available for before, during and after the Festival. The required minimum age for employment is 16, with some positions requiring applicants to be 19+. Wages range from $11.00 to $16.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

“The Job Fair presents an opportunity for interested individuals to join the Festival team – it takes a lot of helping hands to make the event such a success,” said Paul Runnals, Executive Producer of Virgin Mobile Presents Squamish Valley Music Festival.

“The Festival is going to be one of the most exciting events in B.C. this summer and we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the team.”

Applicants are encouraged to bring their cover letters and resumes to the Job Fair.  Department heads and hiring managers will follow up with qualified individual candidates after the fair. For applicants that are unable to attend the fair but would still like to apply for positions, visit the Get Involved page at www.squamishfestival.com to submit your application.

Mumford & Sons, Drake, Sam Smith, and over 70 artists from across the globe are set to grace the Festival’s four stages August 7, 8 & 9, 2015. The Festival will take place at the Logger Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields.
