July 17, 2015 5:30pm

Squamish RCMP reported that there was a fake bomb threat call at the Ministry for Child and Family Development office on Hunter Place at approximately 1 p.m. this afternoon.

The building was evacuated along with adjoining business and offices and an explosives trained police dog was brought in from the Lower Mainland to search the building.

No bomb or any suspicious item was found.

The site has been declared safe and all restrictions on public access to the e area have been lifted.  The source of the call was an internet based phone number and the service provider was not able to provide the subscriber information.
