Expect Delays in Paradise and Squamish Valley Traffic on Nov 16

November 14, 2017 8:01am

Paradise Valley and Squamish Valley traffic will encounter delays on Thursday, November 16, 2017 due to urgent CN rail maintenance just south of the Cheakamus River bridge at mile 46.9 on the Squamish Valley Road.

Single-lane alternating traffic will be detoured via Pinto Road between 5 a.m. and approximately 5 p.m. Traffic delays should be anticipated as traffic on either side will likely back up as the alternating lane accesses the detour.

CN has advised the District of Squamish that urgent rail maintenance must be completed, and the work cannot be completed at night.

The District of Squamish is supporting the CN work by assisting with the traffic detour and outreach to those impacted. For further information, contact the District of Squamish Engineering Department at 604-892-5217.
