Meanwhile in Canada, Squamish RCMP are investigating a whodunnit involving donuts. The local police is looking for a suspect who left, or rather, sprinkled doughtnuts in an elementary school in Lions Bay.
On Tuesday, February 20th Squamish RCMP was advised of an incident at a school in Lions Bay, where the gate lock had been cut overnight and a vehicle entered the school field and left with doughnuts in the snow.
The vehicle description was believed to be responsible was a dark coloured SUV. Damage to the field had yet to be assessed due to the snow covering, police said.
Squamish RCMP is also reminding the community members to watch out for Elk on Highway 99. Police received a report of four Elk attempting to cross the highway at Highway 99 and Commercial Way. Members attended to ensure the Elk were a safe distance from the highway. Squamish RCMP have seen an increase in calls for Elk on the highway around Squamish.
On Wednesday, February 21st, Squamish RCMP also received a complaint of a driver who failed to remain stopped while the school bus stop lights were activated. Failure to stop for a school bus when the lights are activated can result in a $368 fine and 3 points off the licence, local police reminds.
