Refresh Market founders launch new business conference in Squamish

February 23, 2018 12:39pm
The founders of one of B.C.’s largest events for independent art and design have launched a new conference designed to educate and recharge the business and creative spirit, according to a media release.
The two-day Re/Form conference will take place at the award-winning Cheakamus Centre environmental learning space on March 28 and 29. Tickets are on sale now.
“What makes this event unique is that it provides the practical learnings of a conference without the typical conference environment,” says Re/Form co-founder Shannon Lorenz. “The schedule is designed to provide high-impact knowledge followed by the opportunity get creative, network or take a forest walk. You don’t find that very often in a conference.”
Among the twenty speakers confirmed to take part in the conference are Devon Brooks, whose chain of blow dry bars became the fastest growing category in the competitive beauty industry, Katie Dunsworth-Reiach whose money-mentoring business Smart Cookies earned her an appearance on Oprah, Canada 150 Women best-selling author Paulina Cameron and Woodlot CEO Sonia Chhinji whose Vancouver-based wellness line can be found in 400 locations worldwide.
In addition to a packed program of keynotes and panels on such topics as launching into e-commerce, harnessing the power of public relations and building a values-based business, conference attendees can choose from a range of creative workshops and wellness breaks including yoga, indigo dying and the art of brainstorming.
“We’ve taken a holistic approach to our programming to ensure we’ve covered the territory between learning, nature and wellness,” says Re/Form co-founder Rachel Boguski. “That’s where the magic happens.”
Tickets to the two-day conference are $320 and include a combined two-day program of speakers and workshops, as well as lunch, coffee and light snacks on both days. For event details including speakers and registration visit reformconference.ca.
