Squamish RCMP is seeking information on a man who was seen lurking behind the bushes in the business park area of Squamish.
On Saturday, March 24, the Squamish RCMP received a report of a suspicious male appearing to hide property in the bushes near Discovery Way before departing the area in a dark SUV.
A search of the wooded area located electronics that were seized by police. The Squamish RCMP is currently attempting to locate the owner of the electronics.
The local police is also reminding the public to remove all valuables from view in unattended vehicles after a theft in downtown Squamish.
On Tuesday, March 20, the Squamish RCMP responded to a theft from auto complaint that occurred in the Village Greenway street.
An unknown person had broken the passenger window of a parked vehicle and stole a wallet that had been left in the console.
On Monday March 19, the Squamish RCMP also responded to a theft from auto complaint that occurred in an underground residential parkade in the 1400 block of Pemberton Ave.
An unknown person had broken the rear driver side window of a parked vehicle and stole two packages of books.
On Saturday, March 24, police officers also observed a parked vehicle revving in a parking lot in downtown Squamish. Upon approaching the vehicle police observed the driver to be slumped over the steering wheel.
Officers woke the driver and arrested him for impaired care and control of a motor vehicle after smelling liquor and observing signs of impairment. The driver was later released on a Promise to Appear.
