Police are looking for a couple who used counterfeit currency with a local business. On Wednesday, May 2nd, Squamish RCMP received a report from a local business in Squamish regarding suspicious looking money that someone had used to make a purchase.
The complainant believed the money to be Canadian counterfeit currency. Police attended and obtained a description of the couple believed to have passed the currency.
Police are looking for a male and female, between 20-30 years old, Caucasian, and driving an older model white Ford Escape.
Squamish RCMP receives a number of these types of calls throughout the year and all businesses are requested to call the police when they believe counterfeit currency has been used.
