Toddler seriously injured in accident on Government Road

May 20, 2018 5:11pm

Squamish RCMP is reminding drivers to be extra careful in local neighbourhoods after a toddler was seriously injured in a road accident on Government Road last week.

On Thursday, May 17, at around 5:30 pm, Squamish RCMP received a request to assist BC Ambulance for a 4 year old boy who had been hit by a vehicle on Government Road.

The boy was transported to Squamish General Hospital with ‘substantial injuries’ and is now being treated at BC Children’s Hospital.

The investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Squamish RCMP said drivers should be cautious of children in neighbourhoods and high density locations in town.
