Police reports high impact collision on Squamish Valley Road

A high-impact collision on the Squamish Valley Road sent one person to the hospital while others involved escaped with minor injuries.

Squamish RCMP said on May 26, around 5:15 pm, Squamish RCMP were called to a collision which had happened on Highway 99 at Squamish Valley Road.

It appears a truck was turning onto Squamish Valley Road from Highway 99 Northbound. The vehicle turned in front of a camper driving Southbound on Highway 99.

The collision was high impact due to the speeds expected on Highway 99.  BC Ambulance attended and transported one of the passengers of the camper to Squamish General Hospital.  Other injuries were reported as minor.

Suitcase found in woods in Valleycliffe

On Wednesday, May 23rd, Squamish RCMP received a report regarding a small suitcase with it’s contents scattered in the woods near Guilford Drive and Spruce Drive.

The suitcase contained clothing, books,  and some prescription medication.  The Squamish RCMP attended and has the item at the Squamish RCMP detachment for pickup.

    There badly needs to be a full traffic light at this intersection from the beginning of may to end of September. Nasty trying to turn left onto the hwy from Alice lake
