Man seriously injured after falling off Furry Creek Bridge while taking selfies

A man who fell off the Furry Creek Bridge while taking selfies has suffered serious injuries and is being treated at the Vancouver General Hospital.

Squamish RCMP received the call at 4:50 am on August 31, from a man who said he had fallen off Furry Creek Bridge into a creek bed while taking selfies.

Squamish RCMP was alerted and attended to the location just off the highway.

BC Ambulance, Britannia Beach Fire, and Squamish SAR also responded to safely extricate the man who suffered serious injuries and he was airlifted to Vancouver General Hospital.

    The patient was treated for several fractures. However, his lack of thinking appears to be beyond treatment, and the embarrassment is going to leave a mark.
