Squamish Mental Health Service has a new number

January 20, 2019 9:10pm

On February 1, 2019, Squamish Mental Health & Substance Use Services (MHSUS) is getting a new phone number: 778-894-3200.

A new digital phone system is being installed to help provide better, more reliable, client-focused service to people in the Sea to sky region, and replacing the aging system required moving to a new phone number.

There will now be just one phone number for Squamish MHSUS. This new number replaces the old main number and the old intake number.

“We’re really happy to be getting a new phone system,” says Shelagh Smith, manager of Mental Health and Substance Use for Sea to Sky. “It’s going to allow us to be more responsive to both the people we serve and our colleagues who refer clients and families to our services. We’re going to be able to provide better service more efficiently.”

As the old phone numbers have been in use for 25 years, there will be a brief transition period when calls to the old number will be directed to use the new number. Please update any directories or contact lists.

Squamish Mental Health and Substance Use Services provide a range of health care and support services to adults and older adults struggling with acute, chronic or recurring challenges.
