The local SPCA is calling upon the community to help with a a small puppy’s healing.
Luna is a small breed puppy who came into SPCA in Squamish after she broke her back right leg by falling off of a bed.
Sea to Sky SPCA branch manager Krista Unser said Luna, a small breed puppy, was doing what all puppies do – playing and having fun. Unfortunately, she was doing so on a bed which she fell off and snapped her leg right in half.
Luna’s leg is going to need expensive surgery, and it is a stretch for the small Sea to Sky branch, but they couldn’t turn this little puppy away.
Please help Luna get the care and surgery she needs by donating today, Unser said.
“It is a clean but serious break but because she is a young puppy she’s likely to make a full recovery,” says Sea to Sky SPCA branch manager Krista Unser.
Luna’s surgery and recovery care will cost approximately $7,340.
Luna will undergo physiotherapy to ensure she regains full use of her leg and it’s estimated that she will be ready for adoption in about two months.
