Squamish Search and Rescue and local RCMP have located the missing dirt bike rider
The 32 year old man from New Brunswick had gone for a ride on his dirt bike around 9:45 pm. His friends became when he didn’t come back. The man’s dirt bike was found about 400 meters from the campsite and it appeared he had crashed but was not in the vicinity.
Squamish RCMP activated Squamish Search and Rescue. A search commenced and went into the morning hours by ground and helicopter. At approximately 11:30 am Squamish RCMP was notified by one of the campers the missing man had contacted them stating he had hiked a long distance to the Squamish Valley and was being transported to hospital.
Squamish RCMP will be looking into the circumstances surrounding the collision and assessing the injuries to the man.
