District of Squamish is inviting the community to attend an open house on Economic Development to be held in Downtown Squamish.

The open house will be held on Thursday, January 30, between 9:30 and 11:30 am at the new Economic Development office at 38030 Cleveland Avenue.

The open house is an opportunity to learn, ask questions and connect with economic development partners at the new location, according to the district.

The following agencies will be in attendance:

WorkBC

Downtown Squamish Business Improvement Association

Business Development Bank of Canada

Export Development Canada

Futurpreneur

Sea to Sky Community Services

Tourism Squamish

The former community policing station is being used by the district as a new satellite office for the District’s Economic Development and Arts & Culture staff, and for the purpose of providing meeting and event space to support Economic Development and Arts & Culture services.

“The upcoming Economic Development Open House offers staff the chance to meet local business owners, share some of the tools and services that are available through the department and its partners, and welcome them to the new space,” district said.

Outside the Open House, staff will be available to meet with the public by appointment.
