BC Government has announced 77 new cases of COVID-19 in the province, for a total of 348 cases.
As many as 22 of those patients are in the hospital, while 10 are in the intensive care unit.
Seven people have succumbed to the virus, with six of them linked to the Lynn Valley Care Home in North Vancouver.
The government has so far tested over 17,000 people in the province for the coronavirus.
Testing is available for all who need it, but not everyone requires a test, the government said.
If you have no symptoms, mild symptoms or you are a returning traveller self-isolating at home, you do not require a test.
Dr. Bonnie Henry, provincial health officer, has also clarified direction on social distancing relating to going outside: It is safe to go outside to get fresh air, walk pets, ride a bike and exercise while maintaining safe social distances.
Dr. Henry is reminding employers that they must excuse workers for sickness without requiring a doctor’s note.
