Missing 92-year-old man located

Update: Ilya “George” Baschmakow has been located by Squamish RCMP

Squamish RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a missing 92-year-old man.

Ilya “George” Baschmakow, who commonly goes by the name of George, had been living in the motel on Victoria Street and Winnipeg street.

Police were called by the motel staff on May 5 after they didn’t see Baschmakow for three days.

Baschmakow is described as a 92-year-old Caucasian man,  5’3″ tall, has brown eyes, bald with white hair on sides, and walks with a cane.

There is no known family in the area and police have searched locations he is known to frequent with no leads.
