Squamish Helping Hands and Squamish Food Bank have joined forces to seek the community’s feedback on a food hub that will be operational in the fall.
The survey should be completed only by those who are regular participants of the Squamish Helping Hands or the Squamish Food Bank.
“We want to improve our community food programs. Please take some time to help us understand your needs by completing this short survey,” the food bank says.
All responses will be kept confidential.
The new community food hub will be located at Under One Roof, which is due to open in Downtown Squamish this fall.
Under One Roof is a four-storey facility on Third Avenue that is being built by BC Housing in partnership with the District of Squamish and the Squamish Helping Hands Society.
The community food hub in the facility will have cooking classes, food-related programs and a grocery-style food bank. It will include delivery program for seniors and for those who can’t access food programs.
It will also host specific food programs such as 2 squares, Food4Kids, Food2Go, and Food2Grow.
