Stats Canada has launched a survey asking parents about the challenges of parenting during the pandemic.
The survey is for parent or guardian of children aged 0 to 14.
The focus of the survey is on children’s activities, child care and school, parent’s employment status, and concerns around family’s overall well-being.
The information will be used by government organizations, such as the Public Health Agency of Canada to evaluate the delivery of services and support to families during and after the pandemic.
The information may also be used by Statistics Canada for other statistical and research purposes.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the lives and habits of all Canadians, yet data on the impacts to children and their families is limited. This survey will provide information on how the pandemic is affecting families with children under the age of 15, and how they are adjusting to the challenges of this new reality,” Stats Canada said.
The survey is voluntary, but Stats Canada is urging people to take part in the survey to get an accurate and complete picture about the challenges of parenting in COVID-19
