Line painting work to continue until first week of August

staff report
July 15, 2020 9:37am

The annual line painting work that started last week in Squamish will continue until the first week of August.

The work takes place in the evenings and overnight in various locations throughout Squamish.

The district started the work on Thursday, July 9, and it is expected to continue until the first week of August, although it is weather dependent.

The work started with crosswalks, stop lines, arrows, crosshatch and will be followed by the long line.

Fresh paint will be marked with cones, and drivers are being reminded to not drive over freshly painted lines.

Drivers are also being asked to park vehicles off the road if possible. If that is not possible, the district is asking drivers to park as far away from road marking as possible.

Residents should expect some noise while work is underway though work crews have been reminded to be mindful in residential areas.
