Serious motorcycle accident on Duffy Lake Road closes Highway 99

A serious accident on the Duffy Lake Road has closed Highway 99 in both directions. The accident happened 27 kilometres north of Pemberton.

According to an update by Whistler RCMP, Highway 99 on the Duffy Lake Road passage between Pemberton and Lillooet is closed in both directions due to the motorcycle incident.

Emergency crews are on scene.

The highway can be expected to be closed for at least six to eight hours.

An assessment is in progress, according to Drive BC. The estimated time of opening isn’t available as of yet, although Drive BC is expected to issue an update again.
