Accident shuts down Highway 99 at Lions Bay

Highway 99 at Lions Bay is closed in both directions south of Strathcona Point Road due to serious collision.

Air ambulance and emergency vehicles are on scene, said Squamish RCMP. South-bound single lane is open.

The incident happened between Garibaldi Hwy and Ocean Point Drive, about one kilometer north of West Vancouver.

BC Emergency Health Service are on scene and will be on scene for the next few hours.

Drivers can expect major delays if going north bound.
