Two in hospital after accident on Highway 99

Two people were taken to hospital after a serious collision shut down Highway 99 near Lions Bay yesterday.

The serious collision took place at Lions Bay, south of Strathcona Point Road, about one kilometre north of West Vancouver.

 

BC Emergency Services said they received a call about the collision at 5:44 pm.

One patient was taken to the ground ambulance and another patient was transported to the hospital by air ambulance.

Police and emergency personnel were on scene for several hours.

The highway opened around 2:30 am, according to Drive BC.
