Snowfall alert issued for Sea to Sky

Staff report
November 12, 2020 8:41pm

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Sea to Sky area.

Heavy snow has developed over Whistler and the Sea to Sky Highway north of Squamish this evening.

Snow at times heavy is expected to continue through tonight and into Friday morning.

Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected.

Snow is expected to ease to a few flurries Friday morning.

“Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow,” Environment Canada warns.
