Park Royal says won’t be hosting the popular Light Up the Village this November because of COVID-19.
The free festival offered live music, dancing, food trucks, face painting and other family-friendly acitivies, and a 65-foot ferris wheel.
“Unfortunately, we will not be hosting light up the village this November in order to keep you and Santa safer, we cannot have traditional visits,” the mall says.
However, Park Royal said it will be offering holidays photos and personal, although, socially distanced visits with Santa.
“As an alternative, we are pleased to introduce The North Pole Picture Co. who are offering a personalized holiday experience for you and your family including Holiday Family Portraits and Socially Distanced Visits with Santa, by reservation only.”
“During these uncertain times, we continue to be mindful that the safety of our customers, employees of the shopping centre and public remain paramount.”
Park Royal said it has increased the frequency of cleaning at the mall and focusses on sanitizing touchpoints to ensure health and safety of those coming to the mall.
The mall also announced that it will extend holiday hours starting from December 8.
