Pemberton RCMP look for driver who damaged school field

Staff report
November 19, 2020 10:00am

Pemberton RCMP are seeking information about a driver who caused thousands of dollars’ worth of damage at a local school.

On November 10, at approximately 10:40 am, Pemberton RCMP were called about a vehicle that had been driving recklessly over a school field in the 7500 Block of Pemberton Meadows Road.

Police said they were also told about a vehicle that had been on the school field the previous day “doing donuts in the freshly fallen snow.”

“While the driver may have felt this was harmless fun, it has caused several thousand dollars worth of damage to the field, which will need to be fixed before it can be used again,” Pemberton RCMP said.

Pemberton RCMP are actively investigating the case and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 604-894-6634 or through Crimestoppers.

If found, hold them responsible for the damages. Even if they have to sell their car. Obviously not a responsible driver. Upsetting.
