Heavy rain in forecast for Howe Sound

Staff report
December 6, 2020 5:58pm

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Howe Sound.

An intense frontal system will move across BC Coast on Monday.

Rain, heavy at times, will develop overnight over the Howe Sound region on Monday.

A total rainfall amount of 50 to 70 mm is expected.

The heavy rain will ease on Tuesday morning.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads, the agency warns.

If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.

To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
